Basic Education Department led by an accreditor of the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). Currently holding the position as Principal of USI's Basic Education Department is Mrs. MA. Luisa P. Vale. This school have teachers presenting in National and International Research Conferences. Then have teachers who finished and are pursuing graduate studies. Basic Education Department USI is aslo have Global Citizenship Education (GCED) and Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) Trainers.

1.2 Academic Support System of USI Basic Education Department

The term academic support may refer to a wide variety of instructional methods, educational services, or school resources provided to students in the effort to help them accelerate their learning progress, catch up with their peers, meet learning standards, or generally succeed in school. In practice, academic support encompasses a broad array of educational strategies, including tutoring sessions, supplemental courses, summer learning experiences, after-school programs, teacher advisors, and volunteer mentors, as well as alternative ways of grouping, counseling, and instructing students. Academic support may be provided to individual students, specific student populations (such as non-English speakers or disabled students), or all students in a school.

To support this, the Basic Education Department Universidad de Sta. Isabel has several programs including:

-          Stand-Alone Reading Subject for K-6 Students (promote the culture of reading)

-     Students Graduate with NCII Certification from TESDA (it becomes their stepping stone to become entrepreneurs)

-          Night High School Program

 

1.3 Teaching System of USI Basic Education Department

The Teaching System at USI Basic Education Department refers to the K to 12 curriculum issued by the Republic of the Philippines, Department of Education. In the curriculum there are several subjects including Mother Tongue, Filipino, English, Mathematics, Science, Aralin Panlipunan, Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao, Music, Arts, Physical Education, Health, Edukasyong Pantahanan at Pangkabuhayan, Technology and Livelihood Education.
